Bespoke projects

The workshop considers one-off pieces and small runs when the request is clear, technically feasible and compatible with its schedule and production. Not every idea can become glass, but when a project is right, craft work delivers a result no standard product can match.

Not an endless catalogue of customisations

Soffio d'Arte's priority remains producing the collections, the shop and its main services. Bespoke work is therefore accepted selectively, after assessing feasibility, timing, complexity and the workshop's availability.

Being selective lets Damiano give each project the attention it deserves and avoids generic quotes for ideas that are still too vague or unsuited to the technique.

What we can consider

The service may suit a decorative object with specific dimensions, a glass cloche, a lighting element, a piece for the table, a small run, or a project developed with a designer or another professional.

For companies, restaurants, hotels, spas and design practices, a request may also cover coordinated supplies or elements intended for a particular space.

Repairs and requests we cannot take on

Soffio d'Arte does not offer a glass repair service. Requests without dimensions, images, an intended use or an indicative budget are also not accepted as a matter of course.

Some shapes, sizes or processes may not suit the technique used in the workshop. In those cases the request will be declined, or an alternative solution will be suggested.

How a project is assessed

A first response needs concrete information. A precise description cuts down the back and forth, makes it possible to check feasibility and helps establish whether the project fits the timescale and the budget.

A bespoke piece calls for design work and trials

The price does not depend on the amount of glass alone. It covers working out the solution, any trials, the set-up and the time spent making it. That is why a bespoke object has different costs and lead times from a product already in the shop.

Production begins only once the proposal and the agreed terms have been approved.
